The ClarkLindsey Difference
Our therapy gym, first-in-the-area therapy nature walk, occupational therapy suite, and other research-based, cutting-edge services combine with an exceptional staff to make our rehabilitation services unique. Therapy programs are tailored to each individual’s goals, utilizing state-of-the-art, evidence-based techniques and equipment to get you back to your best. Your comprehensive plan may also include techniques such as ultrasound, shortwave diathermy, gentle electrical stimulation, infrared light, biofeedback-driven dysphasia therapy, and LSVT Big and Loud Training.
Aqua therapy employs the physical properties of water to assist patients with strengthening, healing and rehabilitation. The buoyancy and viscosity of water help relieve joint pain and stress, while simultaneously strengthening muscles, decreasing swelling and improving proprioception. The warm water relaxes muscles and vasodilates vessels, increasing blood flow to injured areas. Aqua therapy is especially beneficial for those suffering from arthritis, muscle spasms, swelling, balance problems and more.
Occupational therapy treatment is employed when you need to improve or relearn everyday tasks, including dressing, eating, housekeeping, cooking and personal management skills. Our occupational therapists will design a treatment program that addresses your individual needs and goals. Our occupational therapy suite simulates a home or work environment, including a full kitchen setting and a computer. Using real-life settings such as our horticulture groups and cooking classes, we offer effective occupational therapy programs for a number of health conditions including: osteoarthritis, stroke recovery, carpal tunnel syndrome, balance issues and joint replacement.
Our innovative speech therapy services are used in the treatment of disorders related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, swallowing and fluency. Going beyond traditional swallowing, our highly trained speech language pathologists utilize new technology, such as Vital Stim®, which uses mild, comfortable electrical pulses, to strengthen swallowing muscles, and Synchrony, a virtual reality SEMG biofeedback system that can help patients visualize swallow activity.
Our experienced team of nationally accredited physical therapists is here to help you recover as fully as possible, whether your goal is to improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain or prevent further injury. Our expanded therapy gym offers a variety of equipment used to design an individualized physical rehabilitation services treatment program, including variable height platform mat, adjustable parallel bars, stair simulation equipment, NuStep exercise machines and a host of other physical therapy tools.
While beautiful to the eyes, gardens also have therapeutic benefits. That’s why ClarkLindsey created the first-in-the-area Therapy Nature Walk, allowing patients to integrate the outdoors into their physical and occupational therapy exercises. Based on the success of ClarkLindsey’s Masterpiece Gardens, the Therapy Nature Walk is designed with gentle inclines, varied walking surfaces, raised beds for gardening and a glider swing. These elements combine in making an outdoor garden setting into an alternative exercise source.
